ONGOING MAINTENANCE

Updated. Secure. Supported.

WordPress maintenance and support that keeps your website secure, fast and up to date, so you can focus on running your business.

Our Approach

Your website is never really finished, and you shouldn't have to look after it alone.

Plugins need updating, security threats keep evolving and content needs refreshing. Left alone, a website slowly becomes slower, less secure and less effective.

Our maintenance plans take care of it all. We monitor, update and back up your site, fix issues fast and make improvements so it keeps performing long after launch.

Maintenance in Action

What we do for your website every month.

Five things we look after behind the scenes, so your website stays secure, fast and up to date.

01 · UPDATES

Updates tested before they go live

WordPress, theme and plugin updates are tested on a staging copy first, then applied to your live site, so nothing breaks.

02 · SECURITY

Monitored around the clock

Malware scans, a firewall and login protection run all the time, and we act fast if anything looks suspicious.

03 · BACKUPS

Daily backups, stored off-site

Automatic daily backups are kept in Australia, so your website can be restored quickly if something goes wrong.

04 · REQUESTS

Changes handled for you

Need a new page, banner or update? Send a request and our team takes care of it, usually within a day or two.

05 · SPEED

Super-speed your site

We tune your fonts, images, scripts and database so pages load fast on every phone, then re-test every month to keep your Google scores high.

From 63 to 99: what one maintenance tune-up changed

A Sydney business website on WordPress, well designed but slow on phones. Here is what a single round of our maintenance work achieved, measured before and after with Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix.

Mobile PageSpeed score

63 → 99

Google's toughest test, run on a simulated mid-range phone over slow 4G.

Desktop PageSpeed score

59 → 99

Main content now appears in half a second on desktop.

Main image on mobile

4.0s → 2.0s

Time until the largest part of the page is visible on a phone.

Page weight

1.7MB → 1MB

GTmetrix grade A, with 100% for performance and structure.

What we changed

  • Lighter fonts. Switched to modern self-hosted font files, cutting them from about 640KB to 75KB, and fixed a body font that was not loading.
  • Right-sized images. Each image now tells the browser its real display size, so phones download smaller files.
  • Main content first. Analytics and decorative animation now load after the page appears, so the important content is not held up.
  • Faster first paint. The hero image is fetched straight away and the styles needed for the top of the page load first.
  • Database clean-up. Removed leftovers from old plugins and outdated revisions, shrinking page and settings data from about 85MB to 28MB.
  • Security fixes. Moved exposed backup files out of public reach and turned off public error logging.

Lab results from Google PageSpeed Insights and GTmetrix, October 2026. Results vary from site to site, and we measure your site before we start so you can see the difference.

FAQs

Website maintenance: common questions

What our WordPress maintenance plans cover.

Why does my website need ongoing maintenance?

WordPress, themes and plugins are updated regularly to fix bugs and security issues. Without updates, monitoring and backups, a website slowly becomes slower, less secure and more likely to break.

What is included in a maintenance plan?

Tested WordPress, theme and plugin updates, security monitoring with a firewall and malware scans, daily off-site backups stored in Australia, and help with content changes when you need them.

How quickly are change requests handled?

Send a request for a new page, banner or update and our team takes care of it, usually within a day or two.

Will updates break my website?

We test updates on a staging copy of your site first, then apply them to the live site, so problems are caught before your customers see them.

Can you maintain a website you didn't build?

Usually, yes. We review the site first to check its health and let you know about anything that needs fixing before it joins a maintenance plan.
